Problem
Engine oil pressure caution pilot
lamp lights up
Steam is emitted from top part of
radiator (pressure valve)
Water temperature gauge is in red
range
Coolant temperature monitor lights
up
Water temperature gauge is in
white range on left
Engine does not start when start-
ing motor is turned
Exhaust gas is white or blue
Exhaust gas occasionally turns
black
Combustion noise occasionally
makes breathing sound
Main causes
•Engine oil pan oil level is low
(sucking in air)
•Clogged oil filter cartridge
•Defective tightening of oil pipe
joint, oil leakage from damaged
part
•Defective monitor
•Cooling water level low, water
leakage
•Defective fan pump or motor
•Dirt or scale accumulated in cool-
ing system
•Clogged radiator fin or damaged
fin
•Defective thermostat
•Defective thermostat seal
•Loose radiator filler cap (high alti-
tude operation)
•Defective monitor
•Defective thermostat
•Defective monitor
•Lack of fuel
•Air in fuel system
•No fuel in fuel filter
•Defective supply pump or injector
•Starting motor cranks engine too
slowly
•Starting motor does not turn
•Preheating pilot lamp does not
