It is recommended that Escape be towed
with a wheel lift or with flatbed equipment.
However, if towing in an emergency only,
Escape may be neutral-towed behind another
vehicle, but only at a maximum speed of
35 mph and for a distance of no greater than
50 miles.

trailer must be used
• FWD models can be towed with a front-
wheel dolly
• 4WD models MUST use a flatbed trailer with
all four wheels off the ground. The use of a
front-wheel dolly may cause damage to the
transmission and 4WD system
• Flat towing is NOT recommended for any
Escape model
