This is a guide to replacing the pump for your WEN PW28 2800PSI Pressure Washer. This guide is
best used in conjunction with the PW28 manual, included as a physical copy with your unit and
available on the WEN website page for the PW28 (link here), by clicking "Click here to view the
product manual".

If replacing any parts, use only genuine replacement parts purchased from WEN Products. Use
of replacement parts not sold by WEN Products will void the product's warranty and could lead
to decreased performance or injury.
TOOLS NEEDED
You will need:

A 10mm combination wrench or socket
•
An 8mm combination wrench or socket
•
Needle-nose pliers
ENSURE THAT THE ENGINE IS OFF AND HAS HAD SUFFICIENT TIME TO COOL BEFORE
BEGINNING ANY MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR WORK. FOLLOW ALL SAFETY PROCEDURES LISTED
IN YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL. USE COMMON SENSE. AVOID INJURY.
REMOVING THE OLD PUMP
1. Before beginning, complete the following steps:
1. Drain the engine of oil as instructed in your owner's manual.
2. Drain the carburetor as instructed in your owner's manual.
3. Relieve any pressure in the system by squeezing the gun trigger.
4. Disconnect the water supply and the high-pressure hose from the pump.
5. Drain the detergent tank if there is any detergent in the tank.
2. Place the pressure washer on a level surface.
3. Disconnect the hoses from the detergent tank and the pump as shown in Figures 1 – 2 below.
