    RD24 Manual Introduction Scope of delivery The RD24 display allows operation under extreme environmental conditions. The casing provides a maximum of protection against shock, vibration, dust and humidity. Technical details are listed in chapter „Specifications“. The following lists the standard scope of delivery for the display.

    RD24 Manual 1.3 Commissioning • Remove the RD24 from the packaging and set it on a surface with the bottom side facing up. • If appropriate attach the RD24 to the fitting mounting solution. Screws (M8 for mounting) are not part of the standard RD24 scope of delivery.

    To switch OFF the display, press the ON/OFF button. The display will switch OFF and the power LED goes out. 2.6 Display Panel The panel of the RD24 is a 16:9 1920 x 1080 FHD panel with typical 300 cd/m brightness, a contrast of 5000:1 and a LED backlight.

    2.9 USB Interfaces The RD24 is equipped with an USB hub with 2 USB interfaces at the rear side to allow the use of additional peripheral devices like USB keyboards or USB sticks. The USB interfaces can’t be used to connect the touch screen to any external PC or notebook. The touch screen can only be connected via RD-DVI.

    2.10 Invisible Mode (manual or wire contact) The RD24 is equipped with a wire contact triggered Invisible Mode function. With the help of this func- tion the brightness of the display can immediately be set to a predefined value either via wire contact trigger.

    • Connect the C5 connector with the C6 power inlet of the adapter. • Plug AC plug of the AC line into the wall outlet. • Attach the DC plug to the DC-In connector of the RD24, turn the lock ring clockwise to secure it. 2.12.1.3 AC/DC adapter power LED The green power LED indicates the AC/DC adapter is ready for operation.

    OSD Menu RD24 Manual OSD Menu Press the “Menu” button to access the OSD menu (see chapter „Front view“). With the help of the OSD menu the settings of the display itself can be adjusted. Those changes are independent of any settings of connected PCs and are saved in the OSD settings of the display itself.

    If the input of the touch screen is imprecise, the touch screen can be calibrated with the device driver’s calibration application. If the roda driver suite is used, the calibration application can be found in the start menu. Click “Start”  “All Programs”  “UDDP”  “Calibrate” and follow the instructions. Depending on the used operating system, the calibration can also be performed with the calibration tool of the operating system itself.

    RD24 Manual Troubleshooting 5.3 Troubleshooting Should the display fail to function properly, the troubleshooting steps below may help to locate and solve the problem: • Check AC/DC adapter, battery and the power source. • Minimize the configuration, e.g., remove additional peripherals and devices.
