This opt ion allows you t o assign a specified
m em ory size from t he available RAM t o
process t he im age dat a. By specifying a
sm aller m em ory size, you can free m ore
m em ory for ot her applicat ions you are
running. By specifying a larger m em ory
size, you can have m ore m em ory t o
process t he im age dat a especially when you
have a large am ount of docum ent s needed
t o be scanned.
You can also specify your m em ory size by
t he page num ber. For your inform at ion, an
A4 color docum ent scanning at 300 dpi
consum es approxim at es 24MB.

When t he select ed cache m ode is " none" ,
t he im age count opt ion allows you t o assign
num ber of pages you need t o scan. For
exam ple, if you wish t o scan t he first t wo
pages, sim ply m ove t he page slider t o 2,
and t he scan act ion will be st opped when
t he scanning of t he first t wo pages have
been com plet ed.
