With its short-wave spectral range they are suitable for measurements on metals, ceramics, graphite etc. with tem- perature ranges depending on the model execution between 300 and 3300°C (M3) or 350 and 3300°C (H3).

In most cases, this distance is also the required measuring distance. With focusable optics the focus distance can be changed continuously within a predetermined range, so the smallest possible spot size is always achieved.

The response time depends on the requirements of the respective measuring task and can be adjusted. ...

  • Page 29 METIS M311 / M322 / H311 / H322 (12-pin) 6.2.8 Temperature Sub Range The temperature range can be scaled down in order to adapt it to specific measurement conditions (minimum range 51°C), e.g. to configure the automatic clear function of the maximum value storage (see 6.2.2). A modi- fied temperature range also can be set for the analog outputs to increase the resolution even further.

The out- put at the beginning of temperature range is 0 or4 ma, at the end of the pyrometer’s temperature range the current output is that corresponding to the enlarged temperature range.

When capturing or recording data, the performance is potentially impaired, that is errors or interruptions in data transfer can occur. With the recommended requirements all software features should be fully available.
