    Manual Structure Purpose of this manual This manual describes the procedure to connect external storage devices to Sony Network Surveillance Recorder NSR-100/50/25. Trained engineers intend this manual for use.     Outline Sony Network Surveillance Recorder NSR-100/50/25 can expand its recording capacity by connecting external storage devices. This manual describes procedures for addition, deletion, and replacement of external storage devices and notes on operation. The external storage device is called NAS.

    Addition of External Storage Device This section describes an example setting. Set your system according to the actual configuration. 2-1. NAS Settings Hardware Connection It is needed that the NAS has been set as follows for the external storage of an NSR. DL100G2 is a kind of Windows machine.
  • Page 7 Setting Carry out settings to share the share files with CIFS and settings for write authority as follows. Refer to the manual for DL100 in detail. 1. Open the Server Administration screen of Web base. 2. Click “Shares”, and then “Shares” in the second line to open the General setting screen of the Share Properties.
  • Page 8 4. Set as below to set the share type and the folder name of the share folder. . “Share name” → Enter some name. “nfs1” is entered in the screen below. . “Share path” → Enter in Windows format. The screen below is a sample that the path is the nfs1 folder of the NAS E drive.
