should clean it, and store it in a warm, dry area. Remove the
rechargeable battery to prevent damage to it or to the solar light.
 Charge the battery before storing the device and keep it
separated from the lamp.

Exchanging the Battery

 The solar lights come complete with one each rechargeable
1.2 V NiMH battery (AA). If it becomes necessary to replace the
battery, replace the old battery with a new battery of the same
type and capacity as the old one (note the specifications on the
original battery).
 Turn the solar panel + LED unit (1) a little bit counter clockwise
and remove it from the reflector (2).
 Remove the 3 screws on the underside of the solar panel + LED
unit and remove the solar panel.
 Insert the new battery with the correct polarity. The inscription in
the battery compartment will inform you of the correct polarity
(plus, +, and minus, –).
 Put the solar panel back on the LED unit and secure it with the
3 screws.
 Then put the solar panel + LED unit (1) back on the reflector so
its small latches match the corresponding recesses of the reflec-
tor. Turn the solar panel + LED unit clockwise to fix it in place. Do
not use force when assembling the unit.
 To ensure consistently good performance, we recommend that
you replace the rechargeable battery every 12 months. The
rechargeable battery should be replaced immediately when the
lamp lights up for only a short period at night even though the
battery was sufficiently charged during the day.
 The solar light needs about two or three sunny days for its
rechargeable battery to be charged to a maximum.
