LITTLE HELPER SERIES
Passive DI-Box
The LH-053 is a passive DI-box for transmitting audio signals. This product was designed for indoor use
only.
Converts unbalanced instrument-inputs into balanced 600-Ohms-mixer-outputs
Ground-lift switch
Attenuation adjustable at 0 dB/-20 dB/-40 dB
1 parallel-output (1/4" jack plug)
1 low-impedance XLR-output
Safety Instructions
Before your initial start-up, please make sure that there are no transport damages.
Should there be any, do not take the device into operation and immediately consult your
dealer.
Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation by
persons not qualified for operating the device.
Protect the device against humidity and heat. The ambient temperature must always be between
5° C and 35° C. Keep away from heaters and other heating sources!
Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized dealers. Damage,
caused by manual modifications on the device are not subject to warranty. If the device is used for
other purposes than originally intended or if it is not correctly connected, the product may suffer
damages and the guarantee becomes void.
Connections
With a DIRECT-INJECTION-BOX, you can directly take a sound signal from a highly resistant,
unbalanced cable, e.g. between guitar and amplifier, and send it directly to the mixer input.
In order to obtain highest sound-quality, only use high-quality cables for connecting the devices.
Make sure that the cables are properly fixed.
Connect your signal source (e.g. guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, etc.) to the INPUT Socket.

If you want to connect the input signal to a guitar amplifier etc. please connect the device to the
PARA(LLEL) OUT Socket.
If there is/are hum or gound loops, please use the GROUND LIFT-switch.
You can adapt the Input-level (0dB for e.g. guitars, -20dB for line-instruments, -40dB for
speakers) via the ATT(ENUATE) Switch.
Connect the microphone input of your stage mixer to the BALANCED IN/OUT Socket.

Cleaning and Maintenance
We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Please use a soft lint-free and moistened cloth.
Never use alcohol or solvents!
There are no servicable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to
be carried out by authorized dealers.
Should you need any spare parts, please use genuine parts.
Should you have further questions, please contact your dealer.
