GENERAL INFORMATION

The PROEL WX series of stage monitors represents a valuable and affordable monitoring solution, characterized with
perfect sound intelligibility and high SPL in an ultra-compact and portable enclosures.
The lightweight 500W CLASS D amplifier module with SMPS provides the utmost reliability even when the system is
stressed at the highest sound pressure levels. Coupled to a sophisticated analogue processing, it provides an extremely
detailed response, particularly in the vocal range, and a remarkable resistance to feedback. Two tailored EQ PRESETS are
available for the use of the speaker not only for stage monitoring (MONITOR), but also as a MAIN SOUND SYSTEM (FOH).
The stylish design of the cabinets, with integrated handle and pole socket, has been optimized to feature a very low
profile and, therefore, a minimal visual impact on the stage. Knowing very well the mistreatment the stage monitors are
usually subjected to, we have used for the cabinets a strong polyurethane painting, making them resistant to any abuse.
The custom designed coaxial transducers are able to provide a perfect HF and LF alignment and a controlled directivity
for a perfect listening from any position.
The WX monitors are available in two models, offering the perfect solution for different monitoring situations. The ultra-
compact WX8A is able to offer a high-performance monitoring on small stages and it 's the ideal solution for speech,
vocals and keyboards. WX10A, with its high SPL and its full-range response, is the favourite choice for vocals, guitar,
horns and electronic instruments or as a monitor for DJs.
INPUT AND CONTROL INSTRUCTIONS (FIG. 1 / 2 / 3)
1. LINE IN (combo XLR-JACK input)
This is a female combo connector, which accepts a XLR or a JACK plug from almost any line level equipment with a
balanced or unbalanced outputs. The XLR input is wired as follows:
Pin 1 = shield or ground
Pin 2 = + positive or "hot"
Pin 3 = - negative or "cold"
The JACK input is wired as follows:
Tip = + positive or "hot"
Ring = - negative or "cold"
Sleeve = shield or ground
When connecting an unbalanced signal, wire them as follows:
Pin2 / Tip = + positive or "hot"
Pin 1-3 / Sleeve = shield or ground
NOTE: whenever possible, use always balanced cables. Unbalanced lines may also be used but may result in noise over
long cable runs. In any case, avoid using a balanced cable for one channel and an unbalanced one for the other.
2. LINK (XLR output)
This is a male XLR connector, it is connected in parallel with the respective LINE IN input, so the LINK is wired as LINE IN
input. Connect these to the inputs of other powered speakers to make an array.
