Status
The module performs a reset and dials into the GSM net as soon as the
configuration was transferred to the GSM module. As soon as the green
GSM LED blinks, the STATUS of all inputs and outputs can be displayed
in „Communication". To do so, set the detected COM interface in the
device manager and click on STATUS. Now a display similar to a
response SMS appears, which is updated approx. every 2.5 seconds.
If the module has sent a message, the message „SMS sent", „FAX sent"
or „EMAIL sent" appears.
If no reception is possible, „NO NET!" is displayed. In this case, check
the receiver quality at the location of the antenna with a mobile phone.
Also note that the antenna is supposed to be attached as far away from
the module as possible.
If the module is presently being called, „Call detected" and the tele-
phone number appears.
If the module has received an SMS, „SMS received" appears and the
SMS content is displayed for approx. 1 minute.

SMS service

With this module, you can easily write and send an SMS. Once the GSM
module has dialled into the GSM network, you can generate an SMS text
and send it to the entered telephone number with SEND. The message
text is limited to 160 digits. You may not enter any umlauts (ä,ö,ü).
This not only serves persons having difficulty to read the display on a
handy, but also those having difficulty to type an SMS.
