Electronic, Electronic 1st-curtain,
and Mechanical
Even during Live View electronic shutter
shooting, high-speed continuous
shooting at a maximum speed of
approximately 20 fps is possible.
It is possible to select Electronic,
Electronic 1st-curtain, or Mechanical
according to the shooting scene and
situation.
You can select from the three shutter types [Electronic],
[Elec. 1st-curtain], and [Mechanical] for Live View shooting.
[Electronic] makes shooting possible without a mechanical
shutter sound.
[Elec. 1st-curtain] is a system that uses an electronic shutter
for the 1st-curtain and the mechanical for the 2nd-curtain
shutter. Although accompanied by a mechanical shutter
sound, it is possible to reduce the vibration caused by the
movement of a mechanical 1st- curtain shutter.
[Mechanical shutter] uses a mechanical shutter both the
first and second curtains. Regardless of which system is
selected, the EOS-1D X Mark III enables high-speed
continuous shooting at a maximum of approximately 20
fps with AF/AE tracking. You can capture the moment by
taking advantage of the high AF tracking of Servo AF and
fast high-speed continuous shooting.
