The AF point selection method is the
same as in viewfinder shooting.
With Live View shooting as well, the same AF algorithm
as in viewfinder shooting can be used to quickly capture
and follow a moving subject. Servo AF parameters set with
the "AF Configuration Tool" enable accurate focusing
according to the subject and shooting scene "AF
Configuration Tool" settings are required for both
viewfinder shooting and Live View shooting. Live view is
now equipped with eight types of AF point selection
methods similar to those for viewfinder shooting. Using
AF, in Live View you can now shoot sports and fast-moving
subjects with the same feeling as viewfinder shooting.

Select the AF point using [AF area selection mode] for
viewfinder shooting, and [AF method] for Live View
shooting. For details on AF point selection, see Chapter 3.
