Remedy
Seal joints.
Check and, if necessary, replace
sealings. Seal joints.
Check radial shaftsealing rings and,
if necessary, replace.

Shut down gear unit and have oil
degassed. Restart without cooling
water.
Test the oil, change oil if necessary.
