1 DOOR OPEN key
Moves the elevator to the top of the Flexicart, then
opens the door.
2 Cart console
The lower part of the console is used to mount VTRs,
while the upper part is used for the bin units.
The VTRs are pulled out for maintenance. You can
choose whether the VTR is to be pulled forward or
backward when installing it in the Flexicart.
Refer to the Installation Manual for details.
3 Bin unit
Holds video cassettes. Load cassettes here. Each bin
unit has four shelves for D-2 cassettes, five for
Betacam SP and S-VHS cassettes, and seven for
DVCAM cassettes.
One shelf can hold two S-VHS/S-size cassettes (D-2 or
Betacam SP), three DVCAM cassettes, or one M/L-
size cassette.

4 Elevator
Moves cassettes between bins and from the bin to the
VTR or vice versa.
The elevator automatically moves to its uppermost
position when you press the DOOR OPEN key to open
the Flexicart door. This allows you to load/remove
cassettes safely.
When using the optional bar code reader, the unit is
attached to the elevator.
5 VTR
Plays back a cassette stored in the Flexicart, or records
programs to it.
The Flexicart allows you to mount D-2, Betacam SP,
S-VHS, or DVCAM VTRs.

number of cassettes in "Major Features" on page 6(E).
6 Display panel
Used to initialize the elevator, recover from a test or
error, or stop the Flexicart in the event of an
emergency.

Displays the operation status and messages.
The meanings of messages issued by the Flexicart are given
in the Appendix.
Tally lamp
Lights upon receiving a tally signal to indicate that the
playback by the Flexicart is transmitted.
