Long cargo items should not extend
beyond the vehicle length and should
be tied to the cross bar at the front
and rear.
When carrying luggage on the integral
luggage rack (2), limit the w eight to
80 kg/175 lb and distribute it evenly
over the entire area.
Tighten the luggage retainers (3)
supplied with the vehicle to the roof
drip rail (1) in such a way that the
luggage will not slide and only rests
on the protective strips.
Secure the luggage by tightening the
hold down screws by the knurled
heads.
When driving w ithout roof luggage,
the luggage retainers (3) may be
removed to reduce wind noise.
Bleeding the Fuel System
A com pletely bled fuel system is
imperative fo r perfect engine opera
tion. During operation, the system is
continuously bled via the over-flow
line.
The entire system m ust be bled
manually after the fuel tank has been
driven com pletely empty.
Note:
Disengage prim er pump handle prior
to operating it (turn c o u n te rclo ck
wise). Retighten after use.
First, fill fuel tank with fuel. Then
operate primer pump until the bypass
valve on the injection pum p opens
(hissing noise).

Turning off Engine Manually
If the engine continues operating in
steering lock position " 0 " , open hood
and press lever marked " STOP" until
the engine stops.
