c) Teaching in the User Transponder

A master transponder is needed to teach in user transponders. Chapter 10. b) describes
how it is produced.
To teach in the user transponders, proceed as follows:
• Hold the master transponder against the aerial module for at least 3 seconds but less
than 10 seconds.
The control module now changes to the teaching mode for 10 seconds. The LED (9) on
the control module flashes 2x.
• Hold a transponder not saved yet against the aerial module. If the transponder is
recognised, the LED flashes 1x and the transponder is saved.
If the transponder is already saved as a user transponder in the control module,
the LED does not flash.
It is therefore not possible for a user transponder to be stored in the memory
of the control module twice.
It is also not possible to save a master transponder as a user transponder. Ob-
serve the description of the different functions of master and user transponders
in chapter 10. a).
• After recognition and saving of a new transponder as user transponder, the 10-second
duration for the teaching mode starts again.
If another user transponder is to be taught in, hold it against the aerial module within
the 10 seconds.
• If no other user transponder is to be taught in, wait for at least 10 seconds (without
holding any transponder against the aerial module) until the control module automa-
tically ends teaching mode; the LED (9) flashes 3x.
Up to 50 user transponders can be taught in to the control module.
If the memory is full, the control module signals this condition when trying to
teach in further transponders by the LED (9) flashing 5x.
