Removingtheairfilter (03_08)

Remove the undersaddle band and then unscrew the seven cross-slotted screws.
Remove cover «A» from its seat. Remove the filter element, wash it in water and
shampoo and then wipe it with a clean cloth and dry it with short compressed air jets.
Immerse the filter element in a 50-percent mixture of petrol and oil. Squeeze the filter
element between the hands without wringing, allow it to dry and then refit it.

IN CASE OF RIDING ON DUSTY ROADS IT IS ADVISABLE TO CLEAN THE AIR
FILTER MORE FREQUENTLY THAN INDICATED IN THE RELEVANT CHAPTER
ON SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE.
