Connecting Disk Enclosures(SLC)
 The expansion ports on the controller enclosure must connect to the PRI expansion ports on the disk
enclosures.
 The expansion ports on controller A must connect to the PRI expansion ports on expansion module A of
the disk enclosure; the expansion ports on controller B must connect to the PRI expansion ports on
expansion module B of the disk enclosure.
 Only one port on each 6 Gb SAS interface module of a controller enclosure is used to connect to a disk
enclosure.
 Use the interface modules that reside in the slots corresponding to controllers A and B to connect to two
expansion modules of the same disk enclosure. For example, if port P0 on slot B1 of a controller
enclosure is connected to disk enclosure 1, then port P0 on slot A1 of the controller enclosure must also
be connected to disk enclosure 1. (One P0 port is connected to expansion module A and the other P0
port is connected to expansion module B.)
 The EXP ports on expansion modules of each disk enclosure are idle.
