Correct readings are only warranted in temperatures between –10 to
+50°C, and at frequences from 50 to 500 Hz.
The following circumstances can contribute to the glow lamp being
difficult to read: unfavourable lighting (e.g. sunlight), unfavourable lo-
cations (e.g. wooden step ladders, insulating looring, and improperly
earthed alternating current mains).
Always briefly check the voltage tester for proper functionality before
use.
Never use the voltage tester in precipitation, e.g. dew or rain.
Only use voltage testers with screwdriver blade for testing voltages -
never for other work on system parts.
Never use damaged voltage testers with clearly impaired functionality
and/or safety.
