    Setup This section contains information about setting up your instrument and preparing to play. Please go through this section carefully before turning the power on. Power Supply You can power the instrument either by batteries or by the included power adaptor. Before you switch your instrument on, turn down the volume of instrument and the connected audio equipment first.

    Connections Connect a USB Flash Drive Connect a USB flash drive to the instrument, you can save the data you've created such as recorded data to USB flash drive, load files from USB flash drive to the instrument, or use the instrument to play back files saved on USB flash drive.

    Power/Master Volume Turn the Power On/Off Make sure the instrument is properly connected to power supply. Press POWER SWITCH, the LCD screen is lit, indicating the instrument is powered on. Note: If the LCD isn't lit after you turn on the instrument, please check the power connection.

    Playing Voices Press the [VOICE] button. Enter the Voice Mode. The LCD displays the current default voice name and number. Select a Voice. Use the data dial, the numeric buttons or the [˅] / [˄] button to select the voice you want to play. Play the Voice.

    Playing Songs This instrument has featured a variety of preset songs. Press the [SONG] button. Enter the song mode. It will play all songs circularly. Select a song. Use the data dial, the numeric buttons or the [˅] / [˄] button to select the song you want to play.

    Playing Voices The instrument features a variety of build-in voices .Try selecting different voices and play with various preset effects. Please refer to the Voice List. Selecting a Voice When power on, the “VOICE R1” icon will light up and the LCD will display the current voice name and number.

    Auto Accompaniment The auto accompaniment feature puts a full backing band at your finger- tips. To use it, all you have to do is to play the chords with your left hand in the selected accompaniment style, and then the accompaniment will automatically play along, instantly following the chords you play.

    Auto Accompaniment INTRO Section The intro is an opening section of the song. When the intro pattern is finished, the system will automatically shift to the main section. START/ SYNC INTRO/ STOP START ENDING FILL A FILL B MAIN Section The main is an important section of the song.

    Auto Accompaniment Accompaniment Volume Control The function will adjust the accompaniment volume, so as to keep an appropriate balance between the accompaniment volume and the voice TEMPO SHIFT volume. Press and hold the [SHIFT] button, and then use the ACCOMP [˅] / ACCOMP [˄] button to set accompaniment volume, adjustable range: 0~32, the LCD displays current accompaniment volume level.

    Auto Accompaniment Multi-finger Multi-finger allows you to play chords in normal fingering. Try playing the 32 chord types in C scale as listed on the right.     Function Menu Enter the function menu. SHIFT PIANO Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then press the [FUNCTION] button to enter function menu. The LCD displays the current function menu option. FUNCTION Adjust the settings. Use the data dial to select a parameter. Use the [˅] / [˄] buttons to change the setting of the selected item.

    Function Menu Tempo Remain When this function is turned on, when you change styles during style playback, the playback tempo will remain unchanged. In the function menu, use the data dial to select “TempoRmn”. Use the [∨] / [∧] buttons to turn this function on or off. Note: Tempo remain will work only when you change styles during the playback.

    Function Menu R2 Reverb Level In the function menu, use the data dial to select “RevLevR2”. Use the [˅] / [˄] buttons to adjust the value, from 0 to 32. L Reverb Level In the function menu, use the data dial to select “RevLevL”. Use the [˅] / [˄] buttons to adjust the value, from 0 to 32.

    Function Menu Fade Time Set the time length (in seconds) for Fade In/Out. In the function menu, use the data dial to select “FadeTime”. Use the [˅] / [˄] buttons to change the time setting. Tempo Lock You can lock the tempo in the following ways: In the function menu, use the data dial to select “TempoLck”.

    Function Menu MIDI Out Set the MIDI OUT channel for Voice R1. In the function menu, use the data dial to select “MIDI Out”. Use the [˅] / [˄] buttons to change the MIDI Out channel. Note: Your setting will be automatically saved when you press [POWER] to turn off the instrument.

    Microphone Effect Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then long press the SHIFT [FUNCTION] button to enter microphone menu. The LCD displays PIANO the current mic effect option. Use the data dial to select a mic effect. FUNCTION Use the [˅] / [˄] buttons to change the effect value. Press [˄] and [˅] at the same time to restore the default setting.

    Mixer MIXER The Mixer function allows you to separately adjust the volume of each track, so as to keep an appropriate volume balance. Press the [MIXER] button to enter the mixer function menu, the LCD TRANSPOSE displays “025 MusicVol” for the initial time when powered on. Next time when you enter the menu, it will show the same option of your last operation.

    Effect Related Settings SHIFT METRONOME Octave Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then press the [OCTAVE] button to edit the octave setting. The LCD displays “xxx Octave OCTAVE R1/R2/L”. Use [˅] / [˄] button to change the setting. Press the [˅] and [˄] buttons simultaneously to restore default setting: 0.

    Effect Related Settings Pitch Bend Use the pitch bend wheel to bend notes up (roll the wheel away from you) or down (roll the wheel toward you) while playing the keyboard. The pitch bend wheel is self-centering and will automatically return to normal pitch when released.

    Register Memory The Registration Memory feature can make your performance more easy and efficient. It allows you to save virtually all panel settings to a Registra- tion Memory setting, and you can instantly recall them by pressing a single button. Registering the Panel Setting There are 8 memory banks, and each bank has 4 memories (M1–M4).

    Record Use the powerful record function; you can record your own keyboard performance in real time and save it as a user song, just like using recording equipment, and you can play back the recording. Prepare for Recording SHIFT BANK Before you start recording, you need to select a user song to which your recording will be saved.

    Record Delete Recording SHIFT BANK In the recording playback status, holding down [SHIFT] button and then press the [RECORD] button, the LCD will display “Del Sng?”, press [˄] button to delete user song, press the [˅] button to cancel. RECORD Note: The saved user songs will not be lost after power off.

    Song The instrument has a variety of songs. Listen to the songs Press the [SONG] button to enter the song mode. Use the [˅] / [˄] button to select a song. During song playback, press [ ►/|| ] to pause the playback. When song playback is paused, press the [ ►/|| ] button again, it will continue the playback.

    Chord Dictionary DICT. 2 (Chord Testing Mode) In DICT. 1 mode, press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then press the [DICT.] button to enter the DICT. 2 mode. In DICT. 2 mode, you can have a chord test. LCD will display a chord name in random order.

    Pedal Function Memory Pedal When the memory pedal is selected, press this pedal at the first time to call up register memory: 01-1, and then you can call up register memory 01-2, 01-3, 01-4, 02-1, 02-2...by pressing this pedal step by step. Note: If the current memory recalled contains pedal settings, these pedal settings will be neglected.

    MP3 PAD Press the [MP3 PAD] button to switch to MP3 PAD mode. The LCD will temporarily show "MP3 PAD". MP3 PAD control buttons [C], [C#], [D], [D#], [E], [F], [F#], [G], [G#], [A], [A#], [B] In MP3 PAD mode, press one of the Scale Tune buttons [C]-[B] to play back the corresponding MP3 from USB flash drive.

    Connecting USB Flash Drive The instrument recognizes USB flash drives (32M to 128G) in FAT32 format. It does not support multi-partitioned USB flash drives. We recommend formatting the USB flash drive on the instrument before using. Note: A USB flash drive in FAT32 format supports up to 512 files under its root directory.

    Connecting USB Flash Drive Press [˄] button. The LCD will prompt “Load OK!”. If the selected user song has data, the LCD will prompt “Cover?” Press [˄] to confirm loading or press [˅] to cancel. After loading, the LCD will return to USB menu. Note: This operation will overwrite the previous user song on the instrument.

    Connecting USB Flash Drive Load a user setup from USB Flash Drive Press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [USB FUNCTION] button to enter USB menu. Use the data dial to select “LoadUset”. Press [˄]. The LCD will show all user setups (*.usp) under the root directory.
