Adjusting the Back Depth and/or Angle

NOTE: These adjustments do not apply to Invacare Power Wheelchairs with Power Recline.
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 2.7.
1. On each side of the wheelchair, loosen but DO NOT remove the two socket head screws that secure the back shell
mounting brackets and washer plates to the back cane mounting assemblies.
2. Adjust the back to the desired depth and/or angle.
3. Tighten the socket head screws securing the washer plates and back shell mounting brackets to the back cane
mounting assemblies.
NOTE: This view is from the right side of the wheelchair, right back cane and attaching hardware not shown for clarity. The angle
measurements are relative to back canes at 90° to the seating surface.
