For the example shown above the following setting would be perfect:
Loudspeaker #1 left and loudspeaker #1 right: -150m
Loudspeaker #2 left and loudspeaker #2 right: +150m.
We recommend that you should always do a sound check in order to test if all the settings work
perfectly fine in your application before firing the show.
Note: You can change the delay parameter while the device is playing, too (with version 2.71 only if
the test channel has been fired). This way you can determine the perfect setting simply by listening to
the music. As soon as you release "Up" or "Down" the new setting becomes valid.
If you change the delay setting significantly (steps of more than 10 or even 100 meters) you will hear a
short jump in the music as soon as you remove the pen.
Attention: If you do not want to use the delay function always make sure that a delay of "+000m" is
programmed in order to avoid any unwanted acoustic delays. The fact that no delay is being shown in
the display does not necessarily mean that no acoustic delay is programmed. The programmed delay
value is only being displayed if you have selected "Up/Down = Delay" in the menu!
In addition the delay function can be used to eliminate the time lag caused by acoustic delays in
general.
In the next example the acoustic source (i.e. the speakers) is located on a river bank and the audience
is standing at the opposite side:
In this example a delay of "-200m" should be used.
