1. Required measurements for set up

The required measurement is best taken, while the client is in a seated position,
from the base of the seat to the bottom of the scapular or top of the shoulders
to allow for maximum support.
For maximum support, the back height may fall in between these two
measurements. The Icon Mid Back can sometimes be used in place of a
tall back on an individual that has a body configuration preventing the back
support from being mounted in a lower position.

  • Page 3 Angle Adjustments Up to 20 degrees posterior or up to 20 degrees anterior. • Adjustments are made by loosening the bolts on the side of the cane bracket that hold the slide bracket housing. • Once loosened you can adjust the back to the desired angle. Depth Adjustments There are plenty of options and configurations to achieve a variety of different seat depths by changing the position of the cane bracket or slide bracket (see image below).
  • Page 4 Height Adjustments The seatback can be adjusted up and down on the sliding shell brackets or through the cane brackets. • Cane brackets can be mounted in various positions depending on the canes on the chair, and how much space is available for mounting. After setting these in the appropriate position the back height can then be adjusted further by loosening the screws on the sliding bracket to achieve the desired height.
