Permitted mounting positions

Personal injury and material damage possible as a result of impermissible mounting position
If you install the device with back cover in an impermissible position, personal injury and material damage may occur.
Impermissible mounting positions for a device with back cover IP20 are, for example, installation in portrait format or with a
lateral incline.
Install the device with back cover IP20 only in a permissible mounting position.
Permitted mounting positions
Device front in landscape format installed vertically

Device front in landscape format installed at an angle
•
The device front must not incline forward or backward more than 35°.
Mounting back cover IP20
The information below applies when the backplane cover IP20 is mounted by the customer.
The data listed in the section "Technical Specifications" of the associated operating instructions are only guaranteed:
● If the backplane cover IP20 is mounted by qualified personnel
● If mounting takes place according to the following workflow
● If the device is mounted on a backplane cover IP20
Requirement
● Backplane cover IP20
● Device on which a backplane cover IP20 is to be installed:
All connection cables are removed from the device. The device is voltage-free.
● Screws, see section "Scope of delivery (Page 15)"
● T10 screwdriver
● Suitable installation pad to protect the device front against damage
Procedure
This section describes the mounting of the backplane cover IP20 based on figures of HMI devices TP1500 Comfort and
TP2200 Comfort. The procedure applies accordingly to all corresponding devices listed in section "Validity (Page 14)".
Installation
1. Place down the HMI device on its front side.
2. Transfer the article number from the nameplate of the device to the nameplate of the backplane cover IP20. Some
characters are already printed on the nameplate of the backplane cover IP20, the missing characters are to be added.
3. Depending on your device, remove the screws marked with a square in the figures below.
