Possibly changed adjustments of a parameter – are rejected with this button (the former values will remain). • AUTO-EXIT: if no button is pressed during 1 min. then the menu switches automatically to the “ready” menu (wihtout saving changed parameters). Programming menu Adjustment - overview • The program menu is divided into “BASIC SETTINGS” and “MENU CONTROL” BASIC SETTINGS • When entering the programming of the control unit for the first time you will see the BASIC SETTINGS • Here the necessary adjustments which are necessary for the use of the operator/barrier can be set quickly. • For advanced settings/programming please choose the menu point “menu (control)”. MENU CONTROL • For futher programming you will reach immediatly the MENU (CONTROL) (Basic settings are skipped) • The menu control includes all kinds of settings. • Photocell self-test function: The control board is equipped with a self-test function for the connected photocell. With an opening impulse (switch or button) the transmitter of the photocell is switched off for a short time in barrier position „closed“ . Thus the photocell receiver interrupts the contact 45/46 (inner photocell) bzw. the contact 45/48 (outer photocell) - so the control board verifies the function of the photocell receiver. If this short interruption at the photocell input is not carried out, the control board reports an error. • The exact function of the photocells depend on the programming of the control unit. Photocell function please see menu point SAFETY / photocell with pause time). • You will find detailed information in the corresponding photocell manual. - 14 - tousek / EN_ST40A_02 / 27. 01. 2020...

Photocell pause time (only outer photocell) Safety  no influence of photocell: the photocell has no influence on the pause time (green phase)  immediate closing after opening: interruption of the outer photocell during opening or in opened position causes immediate closing of the bollard. (=no green phase, no pause time). Interruption of the inner photocell during opening causes stopping or skipping of the green phase. Photocell self-test Safety  active: Photocell self-test will be triggered in closed modus if you give an opening impluse (buttor or radio receiver)  not active: photocell self-test will not be triggered Attention • The photocell self-test can only be deactivated by selecting „not active“. • The deactivation of the self-test function is only permitted if the safety installations correspond to the category 3 ! - 15 - tousek / EN_ST40A_02 / 27. 01. 2020...

    • In case of pending bollard service, there is on the service output (term. X1: + / – ) a 24Vd.c. voltage for indicator (24V / max. 1W) lights or similar. • If the service is pending or not, depends on the service-intervall settings and on the „service-reset“ date. The comple- ted cycles will be recorded by the cycle counter. This status of the cycle counter will be the „service-intervall“ if you do the „service-reset“. It determinies the amount of the cycles until the next service date, If the cycle counter reaches this target status, the service output will be under voltage until you make a „service-reset“ or you set the service intervall to  „NOT ACTIVE“ (=factory settings). Service interval Peripherials  not active  1000-50000 cycles adjustable [increment 1000]: The count of the cycles until the next service. If the cycles counter reaches this target, the service output is under voltage (24V d.c.) (terminal block X1 clapms: 53(+)/54(-) ) Service reset Peripherials  NO  YES: The new cycle status will be calculated, so the current cycle status and the adapted service intervall will be added. The signal output will be zero potential until the calculated Service-cycle-status is reached. - 19 - tousek / EN_ST40A_02 / 27. 01. 2020...
