The following bullets list the minimum software and network management requirements for the line card
conversion procedures:
Configuration Requirements
To accommodate 8xDMTs in a Cisco 6260 with a POTS splitter configuration, it is necessary to have
one of the following third-party POTS splitter configurations installed with your Cisco 6260 system:
The Champ connector pinouts on the back of the Cisco 6260 chassis are mapped for octal-port line cards.
If industry-standard unshielded twisted pair (UTP) 50-pin Champ cables are currently used in your
configuration, there is no need to change the cables. See the
Slots and Ports" section on page 15
