CAMSHAFT DRIVE BELT

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE SERVICES
2. DOHCMODEL
1) Remove the radiator fan and air conditioner fan.
2) Remove the V-belts. <Ref. to ME(D0HC TUR-
BO)-44, V-belt.>
3) Remove the air conditioning compressor drive
belt tensioner.
4) Remove the pulley bolt. To lock crankshaft use
ST.
ST 499977300 CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
WRENCH

10) Turn the crankshaft and align alignment marks
on crankshaft, and left and right camshaft sprock-
ets with notches of belt cover and cylinder block. To
turn crankshaft, use ST:

11) Remove the belt idler.
5) Remove the crankshaft pulley.
6) Remove the air conditioning compressor drive
belt tensioner.
7) Remove the left side belt cover.
8) Remove the right side belt cover.
9) Remove the front belt cover.
12) Remove the timing belt.
13) Remove the automatic belt tension adjuster as-
sembly.
