TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES
CIS Error (duplex model only)
Symptom:
The white level of the reverse side scanning cannot be adjusted.
Possible Cause:
• Defective CIS unit
• Defective ADU
• Defective RCU
• Defective SCU
Procedure:
Does the LED array light?
YES No
Does 15 volts come to the CIS unit?
Yes
Replace the CIS unit.
Does the CIS generate the correct signals?
Yes No
Replace the CIS unit.
Does the RCU generate the correct signals?
Yes No
Replace the RCU.
Replace the SCU.
No
Is the cable damaged?
Yes No
Replace the ADU.
Replace the cable.
