About This Manual
This manual contains hardware-oriented descriptions and instructions for opera-
tors of the MTU992119922 GCRlPE Magnetic Tape Units for DPS 6 PLUS sys-
tems. Section 1 outlines the device capabilities. Section 2 describes the various
controls and indicators with which an operator should become familiar before
operating the unit. Section 3 explains how to operate the unit. Section 4 provides
preventive, remedial, and tape maintenance procedures as well as diagnostic
tests. The Appendix outlines tape unit specifications.
Readers are invited to use the 'Thchnical Publications Remarks form at the end of
the manual to note any publication errors or to offer any suggestions for
improvement.
