Installation Guide
Please open the package carefully and check for damaged or lost parts.
PARTS INCLUDED:
(1) Main skimmer body, collection cup, lid and silencer
(2) Air hose
(3) Quick‐precise adjusting valve
(4) Needle wheel pump
Assembling the main unit
1. Connect rubber feet to the main base and pump base.
2. Connect the air hose from the air intake to the silencer.
3. Connect the water outlet of the needle wheel pump to the main skimmer body, and tighten the
set screw.
4. Install the cup into the neck of the skimmer. A 1/8
Select a suitable place to set your protein skimmer.
1. For best results place the skimmer in 8 to 10 inches of water. Please make sure that the skimmer
is in no more than 10 inches of water. Otherwise the Quick‐ precise adjusting valve will not
function properly.
2. The pump must be completely submerged underwater when in use.
To Start
1. Plug in the pump.
2. The main chamber will fill with bubbles. Carefully adjust the Quick‐precise adjusting valve
(clockwise to close, the water level in the chamber will go up; counter‐clockwise to open, the
water level will go down). Adjust the water level within the skimmer to where the cup meets
the neck. If you prefer the skimmate to be more liquid, then adjust the water level higher.
Otherwise, adjust it lower and the skimmate will look like mud.
3. It may require several days for the skimmer to reach maximum performance, due to tiny
amounts of oil or remnants left on the surface from manufacturing. To speed up this process, it
is recommended to use warm water to clean before installation. (DO NOT USE ANY SOAP OR
CHEMICALS TO CLEAN THE SKIMMER)
Recommendations
1. For best performance, please clean the collection cup frequently. Use a sponge and warm water
to clean it. (DO NOT USE ANY SOAP OR CHEMICALS TO CLEAN THE SKIMMER).
2. Regular maintenance of the pump will ensure a long life and maximum performance.
