CHECKING
AND
ADJUSTMENT OF THE
CARD
READER.
1.
Checking
the mark
sensor.
Turn
off
the
power
switch
and insert
the pattern
card
guide.
lnsert
the
pattern card
No.1
into
the
card
inlet in
a
straight
line
with
the figure
facing
you.
Turn the
card
feeding
dial toward you
and
set
the
set
line of the pattern
card
at
the
card
inlet.
Make
sure
that
the
set
line
is
in
parallel
with
the
card
inlet.
Placethe Kcarriage
outside
oftheturn
mark
"I c " or"
| ",
andsetthe
change
knob
to
position
"KC
(ll)".
Turn
on
the power switch.
Set
the
pattern
variation
No.
4
(DOUBLE
LENGTH) at the
upper
position
and
all the other
switches at
the lower position.
Set
the pattern
selector
switch
to
the middle (A+B)
and program the
information
according
to
item
llX.

and
then
push
the CF
key.
lf
the
position
of the
pattern selector and programming are
not
changed
after
checking
the item
llx.
6,
there
is no
need
to
set and
program again
before
checking
this item.
Just push
the CF
key.
The pattern card
is
fed
into
the
card
inlet until
the
number 1 of
the
L
window
comes
to
the
card
inlet
and
the
mark
sensor
reads
the
first
row
of
the
pattern
card
twice.
The
same needle
selection must
appear
after
moving the K
carriage
to
the other
side
and
bringing
back
to
the starting
side.
Check
the number
of
D position's
needles
according
to
the
following
illustration.
