Tools required
1 x TORX screwdriver bit, size T8
1 x TORX screwdriver bit, size T10
1 x torque driver capable of taking the T8 and
T10 TORX bits and reaching at least 120 cNm
torque
Cotton buds / swabs

3 Initial Checks

Before removing, the gaiter should be checked carefully
to confirm the extent of wear or damage. If the gaiter is
damaged to an extent that may have allowed foreign objects
or significant ingress to pass into the joystick housing, the
remote module should be returned for thorough internal
assessment by a Dynamic Controls service centre.
If the remote module shows any signs of significant
mechanical damage or impact, the unit should be returned to
a Dynamic Controls service centre for assessment. Significant
damage would typically include loss of function or openings
in the unit chassis.
4 Disassembly
WARNING!
– Do not disassemble beyond the point described
in this procedure. Further disassembly may
result in product calibration moving out of
specification, compromising the product's safe
operation.

Fig. 4-1 Remove joystick knob
Remove the joystick knob: pull it directly away from the
remote module's body but DO NOT twist it. Some force
may be required if the knob is tight.
WARNING!
– Twisting the knob when it is still attached
to the shaft may result in damage to the
joystick mechanism.

Fig. 4-2 Remove the decorative cover
Carefully remove the square, decorative cover A by
inserting a thin-bladed tool (e.g. a screwdriver) into the
slot B and levering the cover up and over the joystick
shaft.

Fig. 4-3 Remove four screws
Using the T10 driver, remove the four screws A that
were exposed after removing the decorative cover in
step 2. The screws can be removed in any order. One
screw is located underneath the warranty label B.
