Preparing the Machine
No Parts Required
Procedure
WARNING
Hydraulic fluid escaping under pressure can
penetrate skin and cause injury.
• Seek immediate medical attention if fluid
is injected into skin.
• Make sure that all hydraulic fluid hoses
and lines are in good condition and all
hydraulic connections and fittings are tight
before applying pressure to the hydraulic
system.
• Keep your body and hands away from
pinhole leaks or nozzles that eject
high-pressure hydraulic fluid.
• Use cardboard or paper to find hydraulic
leaks.
• Safely relieve all pressure in the hydraulic
system before performing any work on the
hydraulic system.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface.
2.
Engage the parking brake.
3.
Shut off the engine and remove the key.
4.
If your machine is equipped with a leak-detector
tank, disconnect the battery; refer to your
machine Operator's Manual.
5.
Locate the hydraulic pump
a clean container underneath it.
Note:
The container must be large enough to
collect 34 L (9 US gallons) of hydraulic fluid.

Removing the
Leak-Detector Tank
Greensmaster 3150 Machines Only
No Parts Required
Procedure
If your machine has an equipped leak-detector tank,
you must remove the leak-detector tank before you
remove the existing hydraulic tank.
Note:
Set aside the tank and all removed hardware
for installation.
1.
Unplug the leak-detector-solenoid coil from the
machine wire harness.
2.
Remove the capscrews, flat washers, neoprene
washers, and spacers from the leak-detector
tank.
3.
Carefully position the carbon canister and
bracket away from the leak detector tank.
4.
Loosen the hose clamp on the hydraulic-tank
end and disconnect the overflow hose from the
hydraulic tank.
5.
Lift the leak-detector tank slightly and loosen the
90° barb fitting that connects the solenoid-valve
assembly to the hydraulic tank.
