ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF THE LINER

The different anatomic shape of riders heads at times requires the position of the hel-
met to be adapted to the head in question. The LINER POSITIONING CONTROL (LPC)
enables the position of the liner to be adjusted. This means that, unlike a standard
helmet, the position of the helmet on the rider's head can be changed without changing
the size of the helmet, making it adaptable to multiple needs.To adjust the liner, proceed
as follows after releasing the rear part of the liner (see instructions above).
1.1 Release the liner adjustment rear flap from the central locking pin on the rear frame
of the liner (Fig. 24).
1.2 Pull the adjustment rear flap and fasten it to the central pin in one of the other 7
possible snap positions.
Pull the adjustment rear flap of the liner to gradually position the helmet higher
on the head, click after click.
1.3 Fully reassemble the liner into the helmet (see instructions above), being careful to
correctly insert the adjustment flap into the cavity between the outer shell and the
polystyrene inner shell.
Should the liner be adjusted to maximum stretch, i.e. the last click, the adjust-
ment rear flap should be folded in on itself before being inserted into the cavity
between the outer shell and the polystyrene inner shell.
1.4 Put on the helmet and check that the helmet is comfortable and suitably posi-
tioned. If it is not, adjust it again.
WARNING
- After adjusting the position of the liner, put on and fasten the helmet to check the
correct adjustment of the chin strap (see attached label), the correct positioning
of the helmet on your head in the riding position and the taking off (see "SAFETY
AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE" above).

NOLAN EMERGENCY RELEASE SYSTEM (NERS)

The Nolan Emergency Release System (NERS) allows the rescue personnel to remove
the pads of the cheek pads from the helmet while it is still on the rider's head.
To remove the pad of the left cheek pad from the helmet, unfasten the chin strap and
then pull the red strap in the front area of the pad as shown in Fig. 25.
The safety lever placed on the back of the pad of the cheek pad will first release and
then, while continuing to pull the red strap, the pad will release from the polystyrene and
gradually turn toward the outside of the helmet, leaving its side area free.
Repeat the same step on the right side of the helmet, which can then be more easily
removed from the rider's head.
WARNING
- Never pull the red straps of the Nolan Emergency Release System (NERS) while
riding.
- Always check that the cheek pads are properly assembled. After using the Nolan
Emergency Release System (NERS), check that the cheek pads are not damaged
and reassemble them following the instructions above.
