PROBLEM
6. Weak engine per-
formance during cut-
ting
7. The engine stops
but the light flashes
8. The engine stops
and the light goes off
9. The engine stops
but the light stays on
10. The blades do not
engage
11. Uneven cutting
and ejection
LIKELY CAUSE
– forward speed too high in relation to
cutting height (☛ 5.4.5)
– the safety devices cut in
The protection of the electronic card has
cut in due to:
– earthed micro-switch
– battery contains electrolyte but is not
charged
– overvoltage caused by the charge reg-
ulator
– badly connected battery (poor contact)
– engine badly earthed
– problems in the engine
– cable lengthened or belt loosened
– cutting deck not parallel to the ground
– blade cutting badly
– forward speed too high compared to
height of grass (☛ 5.4.5)
– cutting deck full of grass
TROUBLESHOOTING
SOLUTION
– reduce the forward speed and/or raise
the cutting deck
– check that the conditions allowing
starting are met (☛ 5.2.b)
Put the key in position «STOP»
and look for the cause of the problem:
– check connections
– recharge battery (☛ 6.2.5)
– contact a Licensed Service Centre
– check connections (☛ 3.4)
– check engine earth connection
– contact a Licensed Service Centre
– turn the adjuster (☛ 6.3.3)
– check the tyre pressures (☛ 5.3.2)
– realign the cutting deck to the ground
(☛ 6.3.2)
– check that the blades are fitted prop-
erly (☛ 6.3.1)
– sharpen or fit new blades (☛ 6.3.1)
– check the tension of the belt and con-
trol cable of the blade engagement
lever (☛ 6.3.3)
– reduce forward speed and/or raise the
cutting deck
– wait for the grass to dry
– clean the cutting deck (☛ 5.4.8)
