If parts have to be replaced, always use original parts.
Have the load chain repaired if the length
of the load chain has elongated by more
than 3%, measured over the pitch length
(PL) for 5 links.
Have the load chain repaired if the
diameter of the links (d) shows wear for
more than 10%

Have the carry hook or the load hook
replaced if the throat opening (a) is
widened by more than 10% or if the
thickness (h) is widened by more than
5%.
Have the hooks replaced if wear limit of
the hook width (b) exceeds 5%.
Replace the hooks if the hook latch
does not seat properly or if the hook
latch is missing completely.
Use callipers to measure the pitch length (PL) and the diameter of the chain
links (d).
