    Unit Description Unit Overview The Thermo King Precedent units are one piece, self-contained, diesel powered, air cooling/heating units operating under the control of the SMART REEFER™ 4 (SR-4) programmable microprocessor controller. The unit mounts on the front of the trailer with the evaporator extending through an opening in the front wall.

While the pretrip inspection is not a substitute for regularly scheduled maintenance inspections, it is an important part of the preventive maintenance program designed to head off operating problems and breakdowns before they happen.

    Alarm Codes Introduction An alarm code is generated when the microprocessor senses an abnormal condition. Alarms direct an operator or service technician to the source of a problem. Multiple alarms can be present at one time. All generated alarms will be stored in memory until cleared by the operator.
