11. Safety • Always supervise the use of this product. • For indoor use only. Not for outdoor use. • Do not exceed the working load 200lbs (90 kilograms). • A competent adult should supervise the use and storage of this product. • Make sure all knobs are securely fastened. • Always use the Variable Axis Swing with a Safety Rotational Device. Check the hanging strap is securely in place. • Client should always wear a helmet. Floor and wall mats of a suitable thickness should be placed under and around the Variable Axis Swing. • Do not use aluminum safety snaps. Use only the steel safety snaps available from ® ROMPA . Always use with a Safety Rotational Device. • Do not use the swing without the provided safety restraint system (black webbing harness). The harness is already threaded into the swing, but can be adjusted by undoing the buckle and threading the harness through one of the other slits in the red fabric. Use the thin white cords to attach the swing to the frame in a central position. Open the Safety Snap and attach the swing to your Safety Rotational Device. To adjust the angle of the swing Do not adjust the swing with the client inside. Loosen the positioning plate knobs on the sides of the swing until the teeth of the plates disengage. Adjust the angle of the seat to the desired position and tighten the knobs till the teeth of the positioning plates fully engage. Do not loosen the knobs more than is necessary to adjust the swing. Tie the cords to the outside loop of the frame. ...
14. Care and Maintenance Every month check: • Safety Snaps, all metal to metal connections, and Safety Rotational Device. Check if the top loop of the swing is worn or fraying. • Check for tears or ripped seams in the cover. • Check ceiling eye bolt for wear. • Check all wear points. If wear and tear could cause product failure, discontinue use immediately. SPARE PARTS The following spare parts are available: • Replacement cover • Hanging Strap • Side release buckle • 3.5” knob • 2” knob • Positioning plate (4 required) CLEANING Machine wash the red part in cold water using a mild detergent. Air dry only. Do not tumble dry as the material will become irrevocably damaged. Clean the frame using a damp cloth and a little soapy water or mild disinfectant. STORAGE When not in use, store out of sunlight and out of reach of clients. 15. Troubleshooting Problem : the footrest attachment knobs are facing inwards • These knobs must be facing outwards – remove and replace as necessary Problem : the swing keeps moving • Make sure the larger knobs with the teeth are securely tightened • Use the white cords to centralize the swing Problem : the footrest attachment is not level • When attaching, make sure the tops of the tubular poles are level (clamp knobs at same height).
