CARE AND USE

WARNING
– Electric shock hazard. To prevent electrical shock, disconnect power before servicing unit.
Use only a properly grounded and polarized electrical outlet.
DANGER
– Scalding Hazard. Do not allow water to boil. May result in severe burns. If setting on your
thermostat is causing water to boil, decrease the thermostat setting.
Indicator Lights
• If the indicator lights are flashing in sequence, the water is not at the set temperature, it is heating.
• If the indicator light is solid, the water has reached the set temperature
Preventing Property Damage
• Regularly inspect the unit for any signs of leakage. If there are signs of water damage, immediately
remove the unit from service.
• To avoid water damage from leakage, replace all cut, loose or split tubing.
• A drain pan, plumbed to an appropriate drain or outfi tted with a leak detector, should be used in those
applications where any leakage could cause property damage.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1.
Only use mild cleaners to clean the tank. Cleaners with acids, abrasives, alkaline or organic
solvents could damage the unit and void the warranty.
2. Seasonal shutdown of the unit:
•
Do not expose the tank to freezing temperatures. If there is a possibility of freezing tempera-
tures, or for seasonal shutdown, all water must be drained from the tank.
•
Turn the temperature control dial to the OFF position.
•
Unplug the heating tank from the power supply.
•
Turn the dispensing faucet on and run water until it is cool, then turn the water off and shut off
the water supply to the tank from the home.
•
Disconnect the heating tank supply tube and the clear silicone return tube from the tank.
•
Carry the unit to a sink and turn it upside down and drain all the water from the tank.
