Engine oil
1. Oil level measurement
a. Place the motorcycle on a level place and
put it on the centerstand.
b. Remove the dipstick and check the oil
level.
c. Place the dipstick in the filler hole with¬
out screwing it in. Then remove it and
check the oil level. If the oil level is be¬
tween the minimum and maximum level
lines marked on the dipstick, install the
dipstick and start the engine. If there is
no oil on the dipstick, add enough oil to
reach the minimum level line. Install the
dipstick and start the engine.

3. Minimum oil level
d. Allow the engine to idle for 2 to 3
minutes.
e. Stop the engine and check the oil level
again. Add enough oil to reach the maxi¬
mum level line.

Do not run the motorcycle until you know it
has sufficient engine oil.
