Tractor Hook-Up

DANGER
To prevent serious injury or death:
A Crushing Hazard exists while hooking-up and unhooking
implement. Do not allow anyone to stand between tractor and
implement while backing-up to implement or pulling away
from implement. Do not operate hydraulic 3-point lift controls
while someone is directly behind tractor or near implement.

WARNING
To prevent serious injury or death:
Lifting unit more than 14" above ground with PTO engaged or
engaging PTO with unit higher than 14" above ground can
break the driveline and could cause flying projectiles.
!
CAUTION
To prevent serious injury:
To avoid bodily injury caused by accidental falling of tiller,
stabilize unit with park stand, support stands, and/or blocks.
NOTE: Land Pride's Quick Hitch can be attached to
the tractor to provide quick and easy 3-point hook-
up and detachment. See your nearest Land Pride
dealer to purchase a Quick-Hitch.
Refer to Figure 1-4:
1. Slowly back tractor up to Rotary Tiller while using
tractor's 3-Point hydraulic control to align lower
3-Point arm holes with hitch clevis holes "A" .
2. Engage tractor park brake, shut tractor engine off,
and remove key before dismounting from tractor.
3. Attach lower arms to hitch clevises holes "A" with hitch
pins (#2) and secure with hairpin cotters (#5)

4. Secure tractor's top center link to tiller hitch plate
holes "B" using 3/4" diameter hitch pin (#6) and
hairpin cotter (#8). (Hitch pin (#6) and hairpin
cotter (#8) are supplied by customer).
5. Place a level (#3) on end plate as shown and adjust
tractor's top center link to level tiller front to back.
6. Place level on the square tube and adjust one of the
two tractor's lower 3-Point arms up or down to level
tiller from left to right.
IMPORTANT: To keep the park stand from being
damaged, always store stand in the transport
position before moving tractor with tiller attached.
7. Raise tiller up and remove park stand (#4A) from its
mounting tube. Turn park stand upside down as
shown with balloon (#4B) and reinsert stand several
inches through top of mounting tube. Secure park
stand using one of the upper three holes with existing
wire retaining pin (#7).
Maximum Allowable Raised Height
Refer to Figure 1-5:
8. Raise tiller fully up with 3-Point lift. Measure distance
tines are off the ground. If distance exceeds 14
adjust tractor's 3-Point lift height limiter until tines will
not lift higher than 14 inches off the ground.
