5.4 ELECTRICAL (MACHINE WIRING AND SUPPLY)

All electrical work is to be carried out in accordance with I.E.E. standards, latest
issue, or local codes of practice as applicable.
The machine should be installed in accordance with EMC2004/108/EC.
Protected supply to incorporate fuses or motor rated circuit breakers (Type C)
to specified rating, (see Data Sheet). H.R.C. fuses are recommended. An isolator
which disconnects all poles must be fitted within 2m and in sight of the control
panel.†
All units must be correctly earthed/grounded. An earth leakage trip of the
current operating type is recommended to be fitted to all electrics.
IMPORTANT:- Inconsistent Electrical Supply.
The following Iimits of operation list not be exceeded if Calorex machines are to
be guaranteed either in performance or warranty terms:
Three-phase machines (nominal 400V); Voltage limits = 360V/440V min/max.
Cycle (nominal 50Hz); Frequency limits = 47·5Hz/52·5Hz min/max.
N.B. This voltage must be available at the Dehumidifier whilst it is running under
full load.
The voltage must not drop below the above figures when starting the machine.
† Note the isolator must have a minimum of 3mm air gap when turned off.
Correct cable sizing
The cable supplying electricity to a machine with a given load must increase
in cross sectional area (C.S.A) as the length increases in order that the
voltagemdrop within the cable does not exceed recommended limits. Cable
sizing should be calculated by an approved electrician with due consideration to
I.E.E and local codes of practice.
THE DH334 INCORPORATES A ROTARY COMPRESSOR WHICH
