    I N T R O D U C T I O N Welcome to Pride Mobility Products Corporation (Pride). Congratulations on the purchase of your new SilverBoom 300. The SilverBoom 300 design combines the most advanced state-of-the-art components with modern, attrac- tive styling.

    I I . S A F E T Y PRODUCT SAFETY SYMBOLS The symbols below are used on the lift system to identify warnings, mandatory actions, and prohibited actions. It is very important for you to read and understand them completely. Read and follow the information in the owner’s manual.
  • Page 7 I I . S A F E T Y LIFTING CAPABILITIES The SilverBoom 300 is designed to lift a maximum weight of 300 lbs. (136 kg). Under no circumstances should the SilverBoom 300 be made to exceed this weight limit. Subjecting the SilverBoom 300 to the strain of hoisting more than it is designed to lift, may cause it to fail, resulting in damage to the mobility device and/or injury to the lift operator.

    I I I . I N S T A L L A T I O N The SilverBoom 300 can be installed in either side of BASE EXTENSIONS your vehicle. The illustrations demonstrate installation on the right side. L-BASE NOTE: Most roads have a crown to help with wa- ter runoff.

Slide the height adjustment ring (see figure 5) over HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT RING the upper post and tighten the setscrew (a good start- ing point is approximately 12 in.

    I V . O P E R A T I O N LIFTING THE MOBILITY DEVICE WARNING! Before operating the SilverBoom 300 for the first time, be absolutely sure you have the proper docking device for your mobility device. PRESS TO OPERATE LIFT IN A DOWNWARD DIRECTION 1.
  • Page 15 I V . O P E R A T I O N Do not drag the mobility device into position using the lift. If dragging occurs, your mobility device is too far away from the vehicle. To prevent dragging: " Release the lifting strap tension then remove the hook from the docking device.
