CLEANING AND CARE
• Always unplug power cord before
cleaning.
• Make sure kettle is cold before
cleaning.
• Clean the exterior surface with a
clean, damp, soft cloth.
• Never use abrasive cleaners or
scouring agents.
• Rinse out kettle and wipe dry with a
soft, lint-free cloth.
Attention:
• Over time, the stainless-steel surface
of the heating element inside the
bottom of the kettle may change
TROUBLESHOOTING
Device won't connect to Kogan SmarterHome™ app
• If you have followed the steps from pages 7-10 but
are unable to establish a connection with the device,
select 'Other Mode' from the top right corner instead of
confirming pairing mode.
• Select 'AP Mode' from the list, and
button for 5 seconds, or until the device beeps
twice. The indicator light will now flash slowly.
• Follow the in-app prompts to continue AP Mode
connection, which will pair your mobile phone to
the device's Wi-Fi hotspot to ensure a connection.
Lid won't open / is stuck
• Do not attempt to open the lid immediately after
heating, as the metal surface will be hot.
• If stuck, the lid can be opened by pressing the button in and pulling up on the
surrounding metal surface.
Kettle leaks water
• Do not fill the kettle above the "MAX" indicator (maximum water).
• If leaking, immediately cease use and disconnect from power.

• If your water has a high iron content
brownish stains may appear on the
stainless steel element (this is also
known as "boiler scale"). These stains
can be wiped away with a cloth
and a mild abrasive. Rinse kettle
thoroughly with fresh water.
• Hard water can leave calcium spots
inside the kettle. Use a commercial
descaling agent and follow the
instructions that come with the
agent.
Note: Make sure kettle is not hot.
