Connecting the OBR to the Network

Connect the FDDI host optical bypass relay switch to an FDDI
network with a pair of MIC-to-MIC cables. The two cables can
connect two hosts into a two-host FDDI ring as shown in
If an OBR is not to be used, connect the MIC-to-MIC cables from the
neighboring host to the SC receptacle on the FDDI adapter, using
MIC-to-SC adapter cables.
If you are connecting to other hosts also using FDDI adapters, use
SC-to-SC cables.
