A standard for connecting peripheral devices (keyboards, printers, digital cameras, etc.) to
computers. If the peripheral device is USB compatible, it can be used by connecting the USB
connectors on the computer and the device via a USB cable. As a rule, USB devices can be
connected or disconnected without turning off the computer's main power ("Hot plug").
This computer is compatible with USB2.0 devices. If USB2.0 peripheral devices are used,
high-speed communication between the devices and the computer is possible.

An encryption technology used for Wireless LAN (below). To protect security during
information transmissions, communication can only occur when the same network key
( page 170) is registered to both parties involved in the communication.
A LAN ( page 174) that conducts wireless communications using radio waves. Data is sent
and received using common wireless frequencies. Because a LAN cable is not required, the
computer can be located some distance from the Access Point (

transmissions.
