9 Metabo CODE! System

9.1
What is the CODE! Key or the Metabo
CODE! System?
The Metabo CODE! System is an electronic
anti-theft device, which can be used to lock your
Metabo tools (with CODE! equipment) and battery
packs (with CODE! equipment) and thus protect
them against misuse. A locked machine (or
battery pack) is no longer functional and is there-
fore useless to a potential thief. You can also
protect your entire machine park (with CODE!
equipment) with a single CODE! Key by transfer-
ring the code to all machines one after the other.
The CODE! Key is not included in the scope of
delivery, but available as an accessory: see
Accessories chapter.
Important note! Ensure your Metabo machine
(with CODE! equipment) is always unlocked
when you send it in for repair or servicing! If
the machine is locked when it arrives, it is
impossible to repair or service it! After
receiving the repaired CODE! machine, it may
be necessary to reprogram the CODE!
machine with your desired code.
