What you should be mindful of
We recommend a difference of max. 5°C between

the outside temperature and the interior tempera-
ture.
Annual disinfection of the air conditioning is rec-

ommended.

Danger of misting!
Always keep the fan on.

Risk of accident!
In recirculation mode, there is no fresh air supply
from the outside. This can result in loss of driver at-
tention and fogging up of windows.
Keep the recirculation mode switched on for a

short time only.
Functionality
Smart and classic air conditioning
Smart air conditioning is an automatic mode with
preset selection options.
The classic air conditioning enables the individual
functions to be set.
Automatic mode
Automatic mode keeps the temperature constant
and prevents the windows from misting.
Cooling system
When the cooling system is switched on, the tem-
perature and humidity in the vehicle will drop.
Switching on the cooling system prevents the win-
dows from misting up.
Recirculated air mode
The recirculation mode prevents contaminated out-
side air getting into the interior of the vehicle.
Air Care
The Air Care function reduces the penetration of
pollutants into the vehicle interior. At the same time,
the air is both circulated and cleaned.
For proper operation, the doors and windows must
be closed.
The function is started/switched off by tapping on
the function surface Air Care in the operating
menu of the air conditioning system.

Climatronic automatic air conditioning system

When the Air Care function surface turns green, this
indicates that the function has been switched on. Air
Care is displayed in the status bar.
When the Air Care function surface is white, this in-
dicates that the function has been turned off. Air Care
is displayed in the status bar.
After the function is switched off, the functional
surface Air Care lights up green for a certain time.
Operating conditions for the cooling system
✓ The outside temperature is above 2 °C.
✓ The engine is running.
✓ The blower is switched on.

After it is switched on, the air conditioning is started
according to the settings, before it is switched off.

Depending on the equipment, a menu with a number
of the following functions is displayed.
Switch air conditioning on or off
Front Show the front settings
Rear Show the rear settings
Pre-selection option for ventilation/defrost-
ing of windscreen
Pre-selection option for the warm air flow
into the footwell
Pre-selection option for warm air flow in the
hand area
