The fan belt should not be too slack, nor should it be too tight. Newly in-
stalled belts w ill stretch to some extent and should, therefore, be checked
and adjusted after 500 kilometers (300 miles
)

The tension will not alte

afterwards and further adjustment is unnecessary.

CLEANING
THE FUEL FILTER
The fuel pump filter prevents foreign
matter and dirt from ente ring
t
he car-
buretor.
T
he filter
should be cleaned at the
prescribed intervals.
1 - Install c lip on fuel hose between
tank and engine compartment.
2 - Remove
cover
screw
and
take
cover off.
3 - Take filter gauze out and clean in
benzine.
When installing
filter, do not forget
cover gasket.
